Sneaking Suspicions- Meet The Protagonists!

    

    Hey everybody! Dewey here, with a [very late] protagonist introduction for Sneaking Suspicions. As some of you may already know, Sneaking Suspicions has three main characters, and here are their profiles:


Protag #1: Wavepaw















A lovable, mischievous, and ever-excitable sweetheart, Wavepaw has finally achieved her dream of becoming a medicine apprentice. She's been following her now-mentor, Ivyhawk, around since she could walk, and as such already possesses a remarkable amount of medicine knowledge and healing prowess. Wavepaw is especially sensitive to the plights of those around her, being able to reliably pick up on the tension of anyone in her general vicinity. This ability has since expanded into an act of sorts; often Wavepaw presses the unfortunate mark until they're forced to either tell her the truth or try to lie. Though the moral dubiousness of this tactic is clear, Wavepaw supposes that liars can handle a taste of their own medicine every now and again. 


Protag #2: Goosedown














A savvy though slightly dorkish father-to-be, Goosedown tries his hardest to take care of those he calls family- his mate, Elmshade, and the kits she's expecting, nervous, perfectionistic apprentice Tortoisepaw, his jittery medicine cat brother Starlingclaw, and a trio of polite but eccentric kittypet newcomers to ThunderClan. Goosedown, generally, fancies himself quite the amateur sleuth, so when ThunderClan leader Stormstar drops dead during an otherwise nonlethal revolt, he immediately flocks to the case despite the risks of doing so. Shortly after, Goosedown finds himself in the midst of revolutionaries, self-proclaimed rebels, and investigators, all working toward figuring out the greater mystery behind Stormstar's death and her deputy's rise to power. 


Protag #3: Silverpaw















Stonefaced and curt, Silverpaw stands out from the rest of her Clan. Despite the circumstances pushing for her to begin a life of manipulation, violence, and conspiracy like her father, she's determined to make her own way in the world, with or without the help and support of her family. Silverpaw soon learns the truth of her father's actions, and this revelation begins a whirlwind of change for her.

Preview- Silent Shadows

   Hailpaw trudges through ShadowClan’s damp undergrowth, staring forlornly at his paws.  Managing to ignore- or at the very least, tolerate- the anxiety that caused an uncertain quiver in his gait was getting to be very difficult.   He was starting to regret declining Willowstar’s offer for an escort to the Moonpool, as perhaps some company would mitigate the loneliness that followed him everywhere he went, but it was too late for that now.   Besides, Hailpaw needed to show his Clan, and a certain someone in particular, that he was capable of handling something as simple as a trip to the Moonpool without needing to be guided the whole way through like a kit taking its first steps.  It was a paradox, truly, being left to his own devices when he truly needed help but being coddled in regards to much less pressing tasks like getting prey from the fresh-kill pile.  Hailpaw quickens his pace, though no excitement is present in his demeanor.  His imminent naming ceremony, after all, felt m
